Foreword

A long time ago, I wanted to know what psychic phenomena was all about; specifically, extrasensory perception. I'd grown tired of all the TV shows, exagerated claims and speculation. I'd read a book called "The Roots of Coincidence" by Arthur Koestler. In this book he exposed some of the statistical evidence suggesting that there was a significant amount of day-to-day paranormal activity influencing real world events. He never claimed to know what this paranormal activity was or how it worked, just that it was there.

Within my own experience, I have come to accept that this is true. But just because I believe it is so, does not make it so. If it's real, there has to be a tangible mechanism that makes it possible. All these years, I've wanted to know what that mechanism is.

Today, I think I know what the mechanism is - but you're not going to like it. Nobody's going to like it because, along the way, I discovered a lot of other little things that were very unsettling about the nature of reality. It may sound fashionable to say things like "matter is energy" or "it's all just information." But what does that REALLY mean? What it means is that most of what you've been told, learned, and come to believe about the world - is wrong. There was a time when most everybody believed the world was flat and the stars formed a sphere all around it. The world has not changed. What we believe about it has. And it's about to happen - one more time.
